I am forcing myself to get started tonight. Since the beginning of this year, I have been moving toward working at being an artist full time. It is really, really hard! All of this media work is not my strong suit. I would much prefer to be in the studio every day, and leave all of this to other people.
I will admit, right now, that I am not a writer. I don't like writing at all. I am not a techie or a social butterfly. All of this Social Media stuff does not come easily to me. Yet, I am beta testing an app for my web host, tweeting, Facebook posting, Pinning, and following and re-posting everything I can to try to make this work for me.
I will not say that this is my dream. I love making artwork, but I really don't like all of the rest of the business stuff that goes along with it. I will always feel most comfortable in the studio or in front of a classroom. I am an artist and a teacher, not a businessman, and not a writer.
Anyway, this is the first post in what will be a weekly blog. Most of my posts will likely be about what I am working on at the time. I would like to show what goes into my artwork, from inception to ultimate use. So check back here next week for the beginning of the real blog.
